The Trust rescues Roman remains

The Council had plans to upgrade London Road, a rough track heading straight up the side of Werneth Low. Steve Cliffe alerted the Council's Conservation Officer pointing out that it is reckoned to be one of the best preserved vestiges of a Roman road in the area. It was also a trackway Medieval times.

The Conservation Officer has agreed with the Trust's position and blocked the Council's plans.
